I'm using a Creative Webcam III (USB) with the ov511 driver from:
http://alpha.dyndns.org/ov511/

The camera works well, although if video compression is enabled the
"small" video size is corrupted (compression allows you to get a 
higer framerate if you've got the bandwidth to burn, but it works
without compression). I believe this is on the driver authors todo
list (and "large" works fine).

I've heard that the Creative Webcam 5 (USB) - which seems to be widely
available and cheap - works with the Philips (!) driver from:
http://www.smcc.demon.nl/webcam/
