[Fwd: [Gnome-print] GnomePrint team + OMIN team + VA Linux team]

Hello Gnome-print hackers,

I'm working on GPr, which is a GUI front-end to the libppd project from
VA Linux. (The libppd project has been described earlier by Mark Fasheh,
so I won't repeat it now).

GPr interfaces with PPD files to present printer-specific options to
users so that they can access the special features of their printer,
such as duplexing, stapling, special input trays, etc. Currently GPr
only works with PS printers and lpr (including VA's enhanced version of
lpr). In the future, I plan to extend GPr to work with multiple
back-ends and the whole spectrum of printer types beyond PostScript.
Integration of GPr functionality into gnome-print is also a major goal,
enabling gnome-print to provide users with easy access to their
printer's specific features. GPr development is hosted at:
http://libppd.sourceforge.net/
