INVALID vs. NULL values

Hi,

I'm in the process of stripping down GConf for an embedded platform
where I don't use dynamic modules, CORBA,... For the moment, I've
managed to insulate a large core of code that I can reuse as is, and I
rewrite the communication layer to use a custom protocol. So far, so
good...

Here comes my question: what is the difference between a GConfValue
value of type INVALID, or a NULL GConfValue ? (so that I can keep the
same semantic in my own code)

Thanks,
Frédéric
