I really like the recent (but not new) behavior of Epiphany.  Being able
to search easily entirely from the keyboard is one of the main things
that made me go "wow" about Epiphany.  Others have said similar things
in this thread.

Having to explicitly type a search engine's name (or any keyword) or
press down (possibly multiple times) to perform a search would be a step
backward.

On the other hand, keyword searches for atypical search engines would be
a nice addition.  It sounds like this is already planned.
