Just as a note, you certainly can do this, same way as you used to do it
in galeon (not sure if this has changed much).  Just do a google search,
bookmark it, edit the properties and change the url to
http://www.google.ca/search?q=%s and give it a keyword of 'g'.  Then you
can put this in your URL bar: 'g epiphany browser' and you get a google
search for epiphany browser.  Not as easy as the built ins, but works
great.  Myself I've just gotten used to hitting "^k" to go to the google
search box in FF.
