When I tried implementing this way back when (when I was still pretending to 
be a hacker). The problem I ran into was that flushing a page to /tmp was 
pretty slow and i got noticeable lag (on the order of seconds) between the 
time i flushed to disk and when the file opened in gedit (I think i was 
using gnome_url_show to do that part). My old code is still in bugzilla if 
anyone wants to take a look.
