Very strange, in tests/docbook, the test/external.xml example exercise
precisely this point. test/external.xml references the subdoc.ent entity
which defines the ID "subdoc". A link is made from the main entity to
subdoc hence checking the ID recognition.
And this definitely works here. Make sure you have a recent or the
CVS snapshot of libxml .... Beware of using older shared libraries and
associated problems.
