Have you found a way to get the VidMode changes? The API appears to provide
no mechanism for listening for these.

How should a WM go about implmenting Fullscreen with mode changes then?

What if the fullscreening window grabs the mouse? Then there wouldnt be a
problem of the viewport moving on it, and it can just use the portion of its
window that is visible.
