Hi I have a problem to get NM-0.6 to work with my madwifi card and wpasupplicant for authentication. NMs log (attached below) says it can't find the supplicant. I have tried different versions of madwifi, madwifi-ng, wpasupplicant-0.4.7 , wpasupplicant-0.5.1 and HEAD, kernel-2.6.15.4 kernel-2.6.15.6 but i don't get it to find the supplicants ctrl-socket. wpa_supplicant's debug log says nothing odd so far. But all works without NM. The system is Debian Sid. /etc/wpa_supplicant.conf ctrl_interface=/var/run/wpa_supplicant ctrl_interface_group=0 eapol_version=1 ap_scan=1 fast_reauth=1 madwifi is from Debian (svn20060207) madwifi-ng was trunk-1451 (but this isn't very stable for me). wpasupplicant is now 0.4.8 kernel is now 2.6.15.6 NM's build options are: ./configure --prefix=/usr mandir=/usr/share/man --infodir=/usr/share/man --sysconfdir=/etc --localstatedir=/var --with-dhcdbd=/usr/sbin/dhcdbd --with-wpa_supplicant=/usr/sbin/wpa_wpasupplicant I have patched madwifi with the enccapa patch. I even tried the drivers-workaround patch. I have no idea where to look further. I hope you can help me. Cheers Carsten Luedtke -- Smash forehead on keyboard to continue.
