I can't mount Disks from the desktop

Hello!

My system is Debian GNU/Linux Woody 3.0r0 and I use GNOME desktop 
environment.

I have installed Nautilus 1.0.6

I can't mount nor my floppy drive, nor my cdrom drive with right-click on 
the desktop (outside a window) and choose Disks->Floppy or Disks->CD-ROM 
from the pop-up menu, because these drivers is not appear on the pop-up menu!

Why?
