I haven't looked at the spatial stuff in detail, so i leave campd to
review this for real. But I have a comment about the delete_event
handler. Once upon a time we saved geometry when closing the window, but
that didn't work well in the nav-model. We definately should do this now
however. And the delay-based per-dir geometry saving should probably be
disabled in nav mode if its not already.
