[Muine] Getting the cover image...

I'm a newbie to C# and Muine.  I've hacked up a plugin for libnotify (based on Brian Nickel's GNotify plugin).  It works nicely, except I can't figure out how to get the album cover image to load.

As far as I can tell, I'm not getting the "song.CoverImage
" passed properly into my notify function.   I hit this error:

            (muine:16062): GdkPixbuf-WARNING **: Bad option name '\xf0Op\u0008' passed to PNG saver

Which I know is some issue with the format of the PixBuf.

Any ideas?
