RE: Problem installing gtk+ 2.4.1

the cds are fine, i didnt get any mandrake installation errors.
its the download version
i did check the box for development and gnome, actually for verything except 
server stuff

it didnot find the linux kernel tree, and i dont know where it sits
so i installed it. downloaded it from kernel.org version 2.4.26

do you know where the tree sits in mandrake?

i just got stuck on "./configure" for pango, the error that aborts it is 
pkg-config does not see the installation of the GLIB

is there a way, and if so how do i do it, to change the pkg_config_path

if i take care of that i think i'll be ok
