GtkCombo with active glist

Does anybody how to have a gtkCombo where the associated GList is
visible the entry is receiving keyboard input? 

I mean, something like what you see in mozilla while typing something
into the location entry?

Can that behaviour be achieved in gtk without some ugly hack?
