question about writeable colors in gdk

Hello,
I can allocate a writeable color/s via gdk_colormap_alloc_color/s . Can
someone tell me
the right way to change it value/s after ? All functions I've found (and
used) are deprecated
in gtk+-2.0:
gdk_colors_store, gdk_color_change, gdk_colormap_change .
