clist save to file and reload (object persistence)

Hi,

is there a kind of object persistence in gtk, so that you are able to
save a clist into a file and then reopen it with all the optimal column
widths, titels ...?
I am trying to save a clist to a well formatted text file. How can you
keep the layout of the clist in the asci file? At the moment the save
file looks awful. Has anyone a hint?

Regards
Daniel Hops
