FSF address in license comments (Bug 334745)



hi everyone.

we just got a bug filed to change the FSF address in all our license
headers:

my take on the issue is:

it might be better to change this to something more permanent, to avoid
updating all files just because the FSF moved again. others have also done
this, e.g.:

http://www.opensource.apple.com/darwinsource/projects/other/cvs-33/cvs/COPYING

maybe something like this would be appropriate:

 * You should have received a copy of the GNU Lesser General Public
 * License along with this library; if not, write to the Free
 * Software Foundation, Inc., or visit: http://www.gnu.org/.

alternatively, the FSF could get a more permanent address, like a PO box...


now i'm sending this around to:

a) sense what people think about having *just* http://www.gnu.org/. mentioned
   as FSF "address", and

b) get the FSF side on arranging for something like a PO Box and use that as
   license header FSF address.
