Well, I use gm almost daily to connect to my parents, who happen to be
crippled with XP...

You connect to somebody on an XP box the same way as to someone with gm:
- you give the direct callto://address:port;
- you find them on an ils directory;
- they call you.

I don't think I fully understand your question...
