The best documentation for debugging problems is the GnomeMeeting FAQ.
If GnomeMeeting displays that error message, it is because it can't find
the device. Have you tried as root with snd-pcm-oss loaded? It should
work in that case

I meant documentation on alsa and oss compatibility. I did try as root as well...
After loading snd-pcm-oss lsmod says (and don't know if this is of any help)
