I am not sure that this happens because of focusing the window, but
surely it happens when I focus it. In the "ADDITIONS" to the test, 
you'll see that the window still loses its frame even without the need
of manually focusing it. Maybe that's because by default new
applications starting get focused, at least in my sawfish settings, but
then it should always happen (which is not the case). 

Well, maybe I should not try do discuss this because it is far beyond my
knowledge, but in a way it seems that for the last case (additions) GM
or gnome save the last "state" of the application or something dunno...
hope some of you guys can put some light.

Or if no one else can reproduce it, then maybe is a configuration
problem of mine :)
