Introduction

Greetings,

My name is Michael Bernstein, and I am a web
developer/designer/information architect with experience in
dveloping Zope back-ends, and front end design.

I've found its a little easier to show a few of my URL's,
and explain what I did for each:

Information Architect for http://www.profitscape.com

All graphic and HTML design and production was done by me,
as well as most of the information architecture. The content
portion of the site (everything that can be accessed without
logging in), is a static mirror (using wget) of a Zope based
content management server. Since the static content is
served by Apache, this gives the best of both worlds of
easier management (using Zope) and Apache's blazing speed
and reliability of serving static content. The rest of our
site was implemented using Java servlets, but I wasn't
involved with developing that.

Additionally, I implemented a corporate Intranet for
ProfitScape using Zope, but it's not publicly accessible.

http://www.progeny.com

Logo design, graphic design, HTML design, information
architecture. This site is a Zope-behind-Apache
installation. To see how this design project progressed,
check out these pages: http://www.progeny.com/bernstein .
The navigation is dynamically generated, and
context-sensitive, so adding new sections to the site is a
breeze, and the appropriate location highlighting is
automatically applied using a Zope product called
ZNavigator.

Two Squishdot based weblogs, for which I customized the HTML
and graphics for to make them look less like Slashdot.

Here are some logos I've designed:

Another project I am currently involved in is a redesign of
the Linux Router Project website. Preleminary results can be
seen at: http://www.libc.org:8080 . login/logout,
registration, member directory, etc. are all implemented
using Zope. Note that development of this site is being done
by someone else, I'm only responsible for the design
(currently somewhat crude).

Cheers,

Michael Bernstein.
