gnome-pilot capabilities

I just got gnome-pilot and am in the process of fine tuning serial port
problems and installing the software

I was wondering if gnome-pilot (or any linux pilot software) would operate
in daemon mode and allow multiple users (after initial Palm setup) to walk
up, sit their Palm in the cradle, hit the hotsync button and let it go
(withut logging into the terminal)

If gnome-pilot won't do this, are their plans to add these features?

Are there other programs that might do it?
