Autostart applications in Gnome

Hello,
I ma running Mandrake 7.0 and Helix Gnome, sawfish
window manager.
I was wondering if there is a way to autostart
applications while Gnome starts, like to have
a folder on desktop or somewhere to put the 
shortcuts of applications to start.
