libgtop probs

Hello ALl,

I am trying to compile libgtop from todays cvs, but what i am getting is
the following:

checking for perl5... no
configure: error: You need to have a working perl interpreter.

I have perl installed on my system:

[root@rd28-74 RPMS]# which perl
/usr/bin/perl

[root@rd28-74 /root]# rpm -q perl
perl-5.004m4-1

However, the configure program cant find it. Can some1 help me with this?
