You can change this through the control-center, if you doesn't use the
one included with rh6.0 (why isn't it).

But I also think that there should be an option in gmc, saying something
like

Toolbar:-------------
|
|  o Picture and text
|  o Picture only
|  o System default


And the system default should use the settings set by the control-center
