Hello,


Im trying to run gdm.




running gdm will only run the Xserver, without the 'greeter'.


README--> If gdm starts up the X server but not the greeter, the permissions on
<vardir>/gdm are probably incorrect.

if i put permition other than 770, gdm says i must change it to 770.


Whats the problem?
