GConf broken - solution ...

	I just isolated the problems with much of my system; simple really - a
mismatch between the system and my home-built ORBit2 package; a recent
fix to IOR marshalling meaning that anything linking to an old ORB would
not interoperate with anything linking to a newer one.

	The solution being to upgrade ORBit2 everywhere consistantly,
