Here's a rough list of GNOME2 bugs fixed between beta 3 and beta 4:

Yeah, that's right, about *500*. That list is not perfect- there are
several ways in which it both over and underestimates. I think mostly
they cancel each other out. If nothing else, I think this indicates that
we're kicking a fair amount of ass already :) Obviously... we've still
got a lot of work to do. But I think these numbers make it clear that a
very solid release is well within our reach, no matter whose schedule we
do it on :)
