may I suggest that we have a look at FreeVote
(http://beta.hispalinux.es/free-vote), an electronic voting system
developed by a Spanish guy, and which is being used for Hispalinux
(http://www.hispalinux.es), the Spanish Linux users' group?

I've used it myself to vote, and it seems quite stable and easy to set
up (that is, you can easily create a new poll in minutes), so it might
be worth to try it for solving this disputes.

If you agree, I can get in contact with the guy who did it.
