Juanan,

I'm guessing aclocal is not finding the gnet.m4.  Try setting
ACLOCAL_FLAGS environment variable to "-I <path to gnet.m4 directory>" and
rerun aclocal.  When everyone moves to pkg-config, things will be easier.
