The --unload option

Hi all,

some time ago, the list of things to be done during the 2.7 branch was
posted here.  One of those items was the addition of the --unload option,
which has been in bugzilla for a (long) time.  In concrete, it's in
bug #130129: http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=130129.

I'm posting this as a reminder, as the code is still not applied...
Couldn't it be better to commit new functionality soon in the development
branch, so that it has more time to get tested?  Furthermore, this could
avoid outdated patches in bug reports...
