Error compiling mono 1.1.9 with GARNOME 2.12.0.2

First off, congratulations for a clean build of desktop.  I noticed a
lot of bootstrap stuff got built along the way - nice that it happened
automatically.

This is Debian AMD64, which means there is no 32-bit multi-lib, so maybe
building mono from scratch does not work?  Using gcc-3.4, here are the
error messages.
