deep-garchive appears busted



Hi

I haven't looked at Garnome for a few weeks until now. Just pulled latest
from CVS and manually updated all the latest released tarballs.

"make deep-garchive" now errors out. Here is the tail:-

I just checked my old logs and that "cp" never used to produce an error.
Dunno what the fix is.
