Expat library

Hi guys,

I'm trying to compile Gnome 2 via garnome on my iBook running Mandrake 
Linux PPC. I got an error message requesting for the expat library, but 
now that I've got it, I don't know where to stick it / install it so 
that garnome (or make?) can "see" it. Could you please help me out? 
I've already unzipped the library.
