galeon won't exit

I compiled GARNOME 0.25.1 on redhat 9 and it works great!
The problem is that after I quit from galeon (1.3.7), I cann't
start it again and I found the previous instance didn't exit
and there is the second instance from ps -ef and none of them
is showing up. I had to kill -9 both and then I can restart it.

I must be doing something wrong. Help appreciated.
