------- Additional Comments From jdub perkypants org 2002-11-27 05:10 ------- Yes, I'm definitely intending to do this soon. When GNOME 2.0.3 comes out (this week), there will be a release of GARNOME called "GARNOME 2.0.3" and then I will shift the 2.1.x releases to a similar versioning scheme. I'm now somewhat content that we can shift to "serious" version numbers. :-)
What bothers me is, if there comes a need for two or more GARNOME releases for the same GNOME release, what will you do?
Make 'em GARNOME 2.0.3.x? I wouldn't like that (but of course, I'm not in charge :)
If GARNOME is not going to get integrated into GNOME itself (as it isn't, right? not everyone tests and develops!), I see no reason to have it the same version number.
If other GNOME packages don't have the same version number, why should we insist on GARNOME having it?
Regards, Danilo PS. Is this list dead, and should I continue discussion on bugzilla?
