Just alerting you to a slight change I made before the commit. Moved the
bulk of the set_tooltip() code to connect_proxy(), meaning that we don't
do a lot of strcmp and copying of strings every time the mouse moves over
a menu item.

I expected to do a bit more, but the family Windows computer blew up and
wasted much of my day. Tommorrow's Memorial Day over here, so expect a
patch or two... :)
