Hello all,

I don't have time to make this nice and gentle and sweet. Thanks to all
for the cool work you have been doing.

Please, if you decide you need to solicit funds, don't give this open
"we need money" junk that everyone does. You can do way better than
that, make it more credible and make it democratically transparent. 

	we need money for GUADEC. 
		Last year's cost us $xxx,000 (budget 	at http://...)
		This year should be 110-120% last year's. 
		We have x, we think we'll get y so we need z. 

Same thing for an endowment or whatever else you decide to budget.
