I'm not sure if this is a valid thought or not, but doesn't compiling a 
large stack of fixes that are GPL only provide some leverage in negotiating 
with Sun to remove the 'offensive-license-ware' requirements from OO?

Getting the issue talked about by Sun management and the people on the 
ground both within Sun and outside of Sun could only help the process.  I, 
too, would really like to see OO under just the GPL/LGPL ...
