I have had a private chat with Craig. He is traveling (as I will in a
few days) and we came to the conclusion that we need to hack on stable
HEAD code as usual.

In the next few days (perhaps next week) we will do one of the
following :
- move the latest experimental changes to an experimental branch in CVS,
and keep a stable HEAD revision, with the latest changes included,
except the experimental ones
- keep the experimental changes in HEAD, and create a stable branch with
all the latest changes included except the experimental changes

By experimental changes, I mean the changes related to the new sockets
bundle mechanism. When ready, that code will be a huge improvement, but
we need to stabilize other features on a good stable basis.

Sorry for the problems it creates to you, it is just a bad timing and an
unusual situation :-)
