The GConf key /desktop/gnome/interface/file_chooser_backend

Hello there,

Can anybody tell me what application / library / component makes use of
the GConf key /desktop/gnome/interface/file_chooser_backend? It's just
that I'm using Ubuntu Breezy and I'm trying to track down something
that's making the file chooser crash when it seems to be using the
gnome-vfs file chooser back end.
