May I say what I would like to have, being a simple Gnome-user?

I would like to have some possibility to get to a list of my favorite
Application via a keyboard shortcut / mouse click. That doesn't have to
be via the menu, a separate panel-applet would do. You could do it as
well by simplifying the "Run"-Dialog, so that it shows a list of
favorites on top.
