yosh showed me this snack this weekend, which everyone else probably
knows (if anyone still uses mozilla):

    javascript:window.sidebar.addPanel('GNOME 2.0 Tinderbox',
    'http://cvs.gnome.org/tinderbox/gnome2-snap/panel.html', '')

put that in the location bar and you'll get little red bars in your
sidebar.
