Movemail

Is there a way to use movemail with Balsa to transfer mail from the mail spool
to a balsa folder?  I know that /var/spool/mail/username can be treated as
just another folder, but that makes me uncofortable.  For now I am using POP
to transfer mail from the mail spool to my local inbox, but that seems like
overkill as I then have to run (x)inetd which I otherwise have no need for.
