re: filtering not working

Dear all,
I was ecstatic to find out yesterday that not only could I get balsa to
compile and run on solaris 8, but that it has support for filters. Imagine
my disappointment when I discovered that the filter code just doesn't work!
Is there anybody who is working on getting it to work right now?

BTW, I saw a lot of traffic on the archived list about how people should
just use procmail. While that's great if you can get procmail installed 
(I can't for internal operational reasons), people who have to use imap
cannot generally make use of it.


my environment, btw, is

Solaris 8 01/01 sparc
gtk/glib 1.2.8
gnome 1.2
pspell .12.1
gcc 2.95.2 (Forte C/C++ and /usr/ccs/bin/make didn't work)
