imap and pop3 over ssl

hi,

i was wondering if anyone tried to get mail with balsa with pop3 or imap over
ssl?

there is a compile time option for openssl or gss but i couldn't find any
options for ssl on the preferences. and if i just change the port to 993 it
freezes.

i would really like to use imap over ssl.
