If this is what I think it is (don't have
balsa at work) then you have to close the
mailbox and open it again for the change
to take effect.

I've seen the same behaviour when changing
the date format in older release of balsa
(1.1.1? don't know if it's fixed now)
so I thought that it is a feature not a
bug... :)

I'll try to fix it so that the changes are
applied immediately.
