I'm currently working on a couple of vala projects with Maemo5 which have me cross-compiling to arm with scratchbox hosted in a VM on this machine. gedit has no problems opening, editing and saving the files but Valencia appears to not work at all with this configuration. No crashes or messages just no functionality. Anyone else tried this or have any suggestions on how I may be able to get this working? many thanks dru From adam at yorba.org Sun Nov 14 20:51:51 2010 From: adam at yorba.org (Adam Dingle) Date: Sun, 14 Nov 2010 12:51:51 -0800 Subject: [Valencia] Symbols and Completion for documents opened over SFTP In-Reply-To: References: Message-ID: Dru, I just tried running Valencia with files in an ssh-mounted directory and it didn't work for me either. So congratulations: you've found a bug. I've filed a ticket here: http://trac.yorba.org/ticket/2822 Hopefully we can investigate this soon. adam On Sun, Nov 14, 2010 at 12:02 PM, Dru Moore wrote: > Hi all, > > Valencia is working well for me with projects on the local filesystem > but my current primary desire is to have Autocomplete and Symbol > searching working for projects/files opened over SFTP. > > I'm currently working on a couple of vala projects with Maemo5 which > have me cross-compiling to arm with scratchbox hosted in a VM on this > machine. gedit has no problems opening, editing and saving the files > but Valencia appears to not work at all with this configuration. I'll see if I can sign up on trac and subscribe to the bug for further notifications. best wishes dru On 14 November 2010 20:51, Adam Dingle wrote: > Dru, > > I just tried running Valencia with files in an ssh-mounted directory and it > didn't work for me either.? It's of no urgency to me - I've spent the last few hours migrating the projects out of a VM into a local Scratchbox environment. My workflow is identical (improved even) but now with extra Valencia goodness. It's really brought the source code to life, so I can get back to coding in peace again! Obviously, it's still an outstanding bug/feature request but you've one less user waiting on a resolution. Best wishes and thanks again. dru On 14 November 2010 20:51, Adam Dingle wrote: > Dru, > > I just tried running Valencia with files in an ssh-mounted directory and it > didn't work for me either.?
