[Shotwell] any news on multi-tag select?

It might be a lot easier than I first thought. A few tests on example 
jpegs, using exiftool and exiv2 -pa 'before and after', make me think it 
might be as simple as:

     exiftool -r -overwrite_original -Subject= -Keywords= /images

(these spaces after the equals signs are important - there's no option 
for deleting or removing tags, they have to be set equal to null).
