Mmh, I should ask in exiftool forum: the documentation says it works (
http://www.sno.phy.queensu.ca/~phil/exiftool/faq.html#Q16) but I've just
tried with some .avi and .mov files and it didn't work :-/

It does read video metadata, this I've already tried.
